To be crystal conscious......Pay attention....Be impeccably honest with yourself.
When you work with crystals you are working with a tool that has a powerful effect on subtle energies and vibrations. You will need to learn about and understand energy centres and the chakra systems in both the body and the earth.
Quartz crystal work is a combination of the mind, the will, the crystal and the guiding, empowering spirit. You need to be in a state of surrender, becoming a channel through which the creative force can work. To become this channel you need to learn to become centred and develop a calm, focused mind. You also need to be grounded before any crystal work to enable a smooth and efficient energy flow. Grounding also serves to create a secure attachment and connection with the earth.
There are as many systems of crystal work as there are people working with crystal. Try whichever of the systems appeals to you and then note which work best for you. Be honest and see what works for you. There is no right or wrong way only that which works.
What is important is to understand what you are working with. Your crystal is a tool, a powerful one, but still only a tool. You are the creator in your own universe.
Crystals have often been referred to as “veins of the earth”, frozen light or as some Indians saw them, as “fossilized water”. If you really want to get to know crystals, then get to know rocks. Find a cliff face or a very large boulder and rub your body against it. Put your hands against it and feel the rock “talk” to you.
Modern physicists have affirmed that physical form consists, in essence, not of matter but of energy. Therefore everything that exists is an external manifestation of an energy form, a rate of vibration. Furthermore everything exists in dynamic cause and effect relationship with everything else. Therefore a change in the vibration of a particular form in one location creates a corresponding change in vibrations of other forms in other related locations. This is also referred to as a ripple effect.
When you work with crystals you work with the same principle. You will work subtly to manifest physically. You can use quartz crystals to do this because they have extremely high and exact rates of vibration that can be precisely manipulated due to the crystals tendency to resonate in harmony with any vibration with which it is brought into contact. To direct the crystals activity with our intention, we use our natural knowing to create a particular set of vibrations within ourselves. We then interact with the crystal so as to have it harmonise and resonate with that newly created vibrational set in ourselves. We can then direct that crystal resonance with the use of our focused intention or will to interact with any other vibrational fields of our choosing without the normal limitations imposed by time and space.
If there is no resistance encountered in the chosen vibrational field it will be caused to vibrate in harmony with the crystals vibrations, which are stronger, being highly charged with our intention. In other words we set up within the crystal a certain pattern of energy. The wave that carries that pattern is intention. The more focused our intention, the more empowered the wave will be to carry the pattern further and effect a greater change.
Some things crystals will do automatically. Just by being in the vicinity of a crystal or crystals the body or environment will fell energised due to the automatic tendency of crystal to raise lower vibratory rates to its own level. They also generate negative ions, which create the feeling of a refreshing, harmonious and uplifting atmosphere around them.
The uses and benefits of quartz extend as far as the limits of our vision.
